Set in a post-pandemic world, things only get worse. Ten years after a plague ravaged the globe the US is hit with a nuclear detonation off the coast of Boston. The resulting explosion causes EMP like affects across the nation. And this makes thing particularly hard for David Campbell. David, an unemployed electrician, is on his way to Kansas City to attend his mother's funeral. Only things don't go according to plan and David is not known for his planning in the first place.
