Annabel Abbs recommends
The Paris Muse (2024)
Louisa Treger
"This absolute jewel of a novel shines a light on the tumultuous relationship between Picasso and Dora Maar. With profundity, grace and compassion, Treger probes the complexities of love, power and creativity."
Fair Rosaline (2023)
Natasha Solomons
"Intelligent, imaginative, irreverent. Solomons has created a gripping Romeo and Juliet for the 21st century."
Talland House (2020)
Maggie Humm
"I’ve really enjoyed Talland House . . . the novel is written with such a painterly eye I felt as if I too was seeing the world through Lily Briscoe’s eyes. It is a wonderfully visual novel and the Cornish scenes are gorgeously evoked."
