This is the third part of the parallel-world fantasy which began with "Jet Smoke and Dragon Fire". Things have not been right in Trina's family since her sister Kitty vanished in a plane-crash some years ago. Now though her parent's behaviour is particularly strange. In fact the whole world seems to be turning weird. Meanwhile, in another parallel world, Sparrow and his friends Kittel, Ormand and Lissie, under the direction of the magician Puckel, are busy trying to build a bridge between the two worlds. But at every turn they are met by trickery and illusion. Charles Ashton's first book in this series, "Jet Smoke and Dragon Fire", was shortlisted for "The Guardian" Children's Fiction Award and the W.H. Smith Mindboggling Books Award. He has also written the second book in the series, "Into The Spiral", as well as "The Blue Horse" and "Billy's Drift".
