Trade Paperback. As New/No Dj. First Printing. 8vo. L Frank Baum and W W Denslow published a collection of nursery rhymes together in 1899, a year before they collaborated on "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", called "Father Goose, His Book." Abbott has created an imaginative look at Oz BEFORE the cyclone carries Dorothy Gale to Oz and BEFORE circus stuntman named Oscar Diggs flies in a balloon and lands in Oz. In this tale, Father Goose flies to Oz on the back of Bilkins, a young gander and the two have exciting adventures with some old friends and old enemies. A new Oz tale illustrated by the author in a style after that of Denslow.
