The Rise of Whit

In a world with seven races, Whit Varian is a rare mixture of the two elf races. The uncharitable term for a mixed race elf is Mud Elf. Whit will find that his heritage is more complicated than what he thinks, and his personal universe turns upside down when disastrous events occur in the year he starts at the University of Herringbone.

With a commitment made to excel at his studies, Whit feels he must succeed for his parents as much as for himself. His education is continually disrupted by those who do not want him to achieve his dreams.

As he works through the obstacles, Whit learns of a magical device, the Augur’s Eye, that was dismantled in ancient times and the components scattered. It is the Augur’s Eye that will become the focus for later adventures in the series, but for now, The Mud Elf sets the stage for an epic journey to retrieve all the parts and restore the Augur’s Eye to the world.
