One family.
Three women.
Three seasons of life.
With her unhappy marriage at an end, CiCi Dupree is desperate for a little peace and stability. But her fun-loving mother has moved in and her teenage daughter keeps sneaking out, so peace is hard to find. Both mother and daughter have dubious new boyfriends and more of a love life than CiCi does, and CiCi is certain they’re flirting with disaster.
There’s little stability on the horizon, either. CiCi hosts a senior citizen’s book club at her mother’s former assisted living facility, and she’s being sued by the members’ grown children over her selection of an erotic Romance novel called Penelope’s Passion for their next reading selection…and what it inspired. To make matters worse, the lawyer she hired to represent her case is making CiCi rethink her vow to never risk her heart again.
Sometimes she wishes she and her equally-depressed bulldog, Max, could just run away from home so she wouldn’t have to face all the drama. But if CiCi doesn’t stick around, regain her sanity, and find a way to save her mother, her daughter, and herself from repeating the same mistakes she made with men in the past, who will?
Told from the perspective of three women at different stages of life, A Change of Seasons is a poignant and funny generational story about love, loss, and letting go.
Genre: General Fiction
