Moveable Mabeline

Two little girls fall in love with a beautiful doll in a toy store window; the doll is named Moveable Mabeline. They hope and hope that she will be given to them as a present - but, alas, it doesn't happen. Years later, in the window of the same store, which is now an antique shop, they find the doll again; worn, and faded, but still beautiful. The illustrations are in lovely soft, bright pastels, and the story is charming.
