Seeing Pink

17-year-old Mata lives on the great Amazon river, where she and her grandmother look after scientists who come every year with the rains. Grandmother warns Mata to stay away from the pink dolphins - the boto; they are tricksters who lure unsuspecting innocents into their enchanted cities below the water. Yet everywhere Mata goes, the botos are sure to follow. (short story)
