Jenny Mason needs an escape after the death of her family; the memories are too much to bear. When she sees an advertisement for a mail-order bride, she finds her solution. The next thing she knows, she's waiting for her intended at the train station.

John Thomas is lonely, so sends for a wife. There aren''t many prospects for a good wife in his prairie town, and when he receives Jenny's response, he knows she's the one.
