Love and Survival in the Time After 2

The virus that struck the world has left it in shambles, and Jax and Layne are lucky to have found each other. Their homestead is finally coming along, guaranteeing that the harsh winter months will no longer be quite so severe. Survival is a very daunting task, but now that they have each other, nothing will get in the way.

That is, until one day a mysterious man shows up in their garden claiming to know the whereabouts of Jax's long-lost brother. The couple is forced to make a decision. Will Layne stay at the homestead or accompany Jax on the dangerous journey? If they leave togther, all of their hard work will have been for nothing if anybody finds the cabin and decides to take it for themselves. The garden will suffer and die with nobody to tend for it, and the precious seeds will have been wasted. But if one of them stays, the separation just might literally kill them both.

Aware of this but desperate to find his brother, Jax sets off on a grueling journey up north, where the climate becomes more frigid and survival is harder than ever. Neither of them are sure if he will ever make it back home. Layne knows better than to try and stop the man she loves from finding his true happiness, and is forced to suffer alone in her anxiety. What will happen when Layne finds herself extremely ill and Jax is nowhere to be seen? If he can't find his brother, will he even want to return?
