Diary of A Young Girl

After her mother's tragic death, Shayla is left to navigate her teenage years without the protective love of her mom. Before she turns 18, she lands a job as a waitress in one of Harlem's top strip clubs. After she is raped and left for dead after work, she conspires with her best friend to lie to the police and the district attorney and an innocent man is ultimately sent to jail for rape. With the help of a great mentor, Shayla is able to turn her life around and is ready to put her past behind her - until the man who was sent to prison is given a retrial.
