IF THEY ASK FOR A HAND
When Chance Dugan found himself locked out of a public garage, with his car inside, and his wallet in the car, he accepted the invitation of a lovely policewoman, Natti Moon, to spend the night with her in her Georgetown apartment. What's not to like? Except it wasn't Natti Moon's apartment. And she wasn't a policewoman. And when guys with guns barged in, and Chance was forced to hide under a bed, he found he had a corpse for a companion. And the lovely Natti Moon nowhere in sight.
But that was only the beginning..
When he got back to the garage the body-under-the-bed had become the body-in-the-trunk-of-his-car. And the police were on their way.
To save himself, he must now track down the lovely Natti Moon, a member of a super secret government agency.
Except she wasn't.
Now they're both on the lam with real government agencies, secret government agencies, out to do them in.
If, in the confusion, a government agency should ask you, as they did Chance Dugan, to give them a hand:
ONLY GIVE THEM A FINGER
Chance Dugan, a thirty-something engineer retired on disability because of a nuclear accident that left him unable to remember numbers, is at the center of this a fast paced mystery/thriller that takes place rushing around the Nation's Capital. He and Natti Moon end up hiding out on a houseboat in downtown Washington marina, on the lam from secret government agencies and the FBI, with even a couple of Senators getting involved before its dramatic conclusion.
