The deadly family secret. The perfect crime. The impossible romance. And the man who can end it all with one phone call.

Growing up in a home without a mother and with a world-renowned surgeon for a father, wasn’t easy for Mila. And when she grows into a woman, it seems like her father never gives her her wings. What makes it worse is her litter of siblings are estranged, and the only real contact she has is with her father’s assistant and the maid. Until Dawson, a young, budding surgeon, comes along, and he sees Mila for the woman she is.

Dawson idolizes Doctor Smirnova’s work, in fact, he writes his medical thesis on the surgical genius, and bases his whole medical practice on the man’s livelihood. So, when he receives an invitation to go to Russia to study Smirnova’s newest procedure, he packs his bags and peels out of the driveway faster than his legs can carry him. But strange things begin to occur upon his arrival. He is forcefully invited to stay in the man’s guest house, and a strange yet beautiful woman seems to appear everywhere, as if from nowhere, and Smirnova’s behavior raises brows to say the least.

When Dawson is introduced to Mila, even weirder things happen, and Dawson inadvertently uncovers a secret that has been kept in the family for more than two decades. With a swift trip back to U.S. soil, and an extra passenger accompanying him, Dawson soon learns that things in his world have not always been as they have seemed…and someone will pay for it with their life.
