In Book 1, we see Tom, Alex and Natalia, together with their initial team, bringing peace, of sorts, to the land of Quumhard.

At what price?

The land is ravaged, the people lacking the essentials and motivation to climb back up and a foreign power sees Quumhard as a place ripe for conquest.

On the one hand, it is a blank canvas, but on the other, there is very little paint!

With Royalty and nobility gone and the power of the religious leaders of the Kurk displaced and disgraced, Tom brings in a second team – this time not soldiers, but skilled artisans, craftsmen, teachers, artists and medical persons who can begin the crucial steps of educating and training the people to rebuild their nation.

Meanwhile, while fleeing Bermuda in a stolen yacht, a seasoned female fraudster finds a portal where she wasn’t expecting it and lands on the golden beach of the Island of Coramble in the Silver Sea (many hundreds of miles from Quumhard). Dressed in a bikini and not a lot else, with no knowledge of the local language, customs or culture, she walks the beach to find a crashed WW2 era US plane. The crew, now long dead, show her that her troubles are just beginning.

Just before the new team arrives from Netherweld, an invading armada is sighted off the coast of Quumhard with an army determined to add Quumhard to the Empire of Korbia.

For Tom and his team, the challenges do not seem to be relenting.
