Traude Ailinger

After graduating from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen in 1994 with a degree in Latin and German Language and Literature, which proved rather unhelpful in the job market, I decided to follow my lifelong affection for all things British and took up residence in Scotland in search of love and adventure. This move resulted in a Diploma in Translation and, in quick succession, three children. After being a housewife for several years, I had murder on my mind and started to kill off people (on paper!). Since 2003, I have been working as a Teacher of EAL (English as an Additional Language) at Strathallan School in Perthshire. In 2020, The Edinburgh Murders series was created, soon to be augmented by more adventures of DI Russell McCord and journalist Amy Thornton.
