Stranded in the Ice Age, our refugees from the modern world set about creating a civilization from the prehistoric tribes and clans that they find themselves surrounded by. Limited resources, and limited manpower, are only a few of the challenges that they face. In a pre-enlightenment world, where might it right, and if I want it, and I can take it, then it is mine, is the height of legal philosophy, can they introduce enough civility to their neighbors to enable profitable trade, without stoking the growing fires of envy that will lead to violence and war? Can they let a rising tide raise all boats, or will the short term envy of some, kill the goose that is laying the golden eggs? Fear or greed, which is greater?
