Public defender Rosemary Blair gets her first big case representing a woman accused of murdering a high-profile businessman. Unfortunately, her office was understaffed and underfunded, so she finds it difficult to investigate the case as her client deserves.
She has no leads, so she agrees to meet with a disgraced lawyer who might have some helpful information. Leon Harmon is handsome but a slob. He lives in his car and doesn’t seem to have a worry in the world. He warns her about the case, he is sure that corrupt officers in the SFPD are involved, and things could become really dangerous.
Romy and Leon are from different worlds and can’t stop bickering, although the attraction is unavoidable. Are they right for each other? Do opposites attract? But most importantly, is she ready to settle down?
