“If we don’t kill it before then it’s going to kill us,” Bethany whispered.
Dark Of Knight doesn’t like the visitor that had come to see him the night before. He had so many questions and yet the dark shadow never answered him he knew that it wasn’t a vampire. He doesn’t like that the creature can just come and go without being noticed. No guards are taking notice. The king doesn’t even seem to know what’s going on in his own kingdom.
Lingering smoke tells Dark Of Knight that the shadow with red eyes isn’t a shadow at all. It’s a fanged beast. One that can come out only when the moon is full. It will go against a werewolf. It will drain the blood from any creature without that other creature needing to be turned.
In the woods Bethany is noticing something is the matter with Charles. She had known what he was turning into when the queen had confessed what had happened to Jacob in the Dark Woods. She could see it in his eyes. She could just tell that she was running out of time to warn everyone about what Charles was.
Bethany blurts out what Charles is and that there’s something just like him, a fanged black beast though. Something stronger and something that can kill on command. Bethany knows that she must find a way to cast a spell on all of them if they’re going to make it through this battle alive.
