Curtis and Alyssa find a way to break Nick and Mona out, but not without some deadly wounds that even Rianne cannot heal. They eventually find someone to wield Tyler’s powers at the last minute. Alyssa is badly injured and close to death. Mona is in pains, and vows to take revenge. The Vanguard tries to warn her about the consequences of her actions, but she wouldn’t listen.
Once again, she goes into the cult alone, with Curtis barely meeting up with her. The Totem Bearers come together and fight off the cult. A portal to the Void is opened, and all the members of the cult are sent there. Unfortunately, Alyssa dies.
Does the Totem Bearers’ journey and fate end here, or is this just the beginning of the end?
