"Jones didn’t know what he feared, but he was sure he was going to find out…"

Anna doesn’t know how she’s going to tell her mother about what they had heard, but she knew that with Andrew with her there would be no reason why her mother wouldn’t believe them. She needed to make sure that Andrew was there with her so that she could tell. Andrew isn’t sure that he wants to go to anyone about what happened. He couldn’t understand why Ernie would do such a thing, but there were many secrets that they didn’t know about when it came to Ernie’s family. Family that they never saw, and he now could understand why. Ernie’s family wasn’t in their right minds. There was no one that they could turn to. At least that’s what they thought.

Later that evening Ernie talked about his brother Jameson. How he had been caught and how he was sent to the insane asylum two towns away. It was hard to hear what was being said because they were upstairs but when Ernie speaks his full name Andrew knows what he can do. He knows that in the morning he can go to town and grab a paper with a farmhand named Nicky. A lanky kid that made sure that the horses and the cows had enough hay. Someone who was quiet, but Andrew knew that he could ride with him without any troubles.

Andrew promises that he’s going to find out why Ernie’s brother is in the insane asylum up in Bangor Maine. He wants to know what het has done to get in there. What crime did he commit to be brought there instead of going to a jail? Ernie didn’t say what he had done, just that he had finally been caught and that wasn’t going to help with anything.

There were secrets in the family and Andrew was going to find out what they were. He wanted to know what kind of family their mother had married into!
