When plucky L.A. journalist Christa Reynolds loses her fiance and her job, she decides it's time for a change of scene. Nearly seventy years ago, her English-born grandmother was evacuated from war-torn London to safety with the Treneague family in Cornwall, and as there's been a standing invitation ever since for the Reynoldses to visit, Christa decides to take them up on it.
