Thatcher's Britain in the 1980s. A teenage boy obsessed with The Beatles and unsure of his sexuality is unceremoniously dumped in a boarding school full of rugby players who only listen to Madonna. No one wants to risk being seen with the boy who might be gay, so friends are hard to find. He spends most of his time looking for a bolt hole, that elusive place where he can be alone - also tough to find in a crowded school. One thing might save him. His friendship with the local video shop owner gives him access to the most notorious films of the day. Can he become the school's supplier of video nasties?
