There are worse things than being dead.
For the first time since I was forcibly shuffled off my mortal coil, things have been good. Jack and I are finding our groove, the members of New Orleans’ night life are as calm as they ever get, and while the Black Knight is restless and eager for the next fight, that’s not exactly a shocker.
