Leaving Lavender

Eddie isn't attracted by the choice of men available in time-locked Lavender and has unconfided dreams of a love like that between her father and stepmother, who met when their love letters crossed time. So when her stepsister asks her to reply to a missive from 2027 Oklahoma, she cherishes hope for her own big romantic opportunity. But then the returned letter comes, having crossed more than a century to reach her, it's a form reply written by the guy's secretary. So much for romance. Eddie has other things in mind when she and Betsy leave Lavender but the last on the list is that she might fall in love with the sender of that letter.
