Have you ever woken up and thought today was going to be different, only to have it be a lot more of the same? That was how Max felt after finally getting some shuteye. Only Max’s same old, same old was the zombie apocalypse. Holly still needed to get to Flagstaff, and when they made it maybe they really could change the world. Who would have guessed things weren’t nearly as bad as we thought?
Flagstaff was still hours away, and the Bronco wasn’t going to make it the whole way without more gas. Walking wasn’t a real option, at least not if the virus was spreading as quickly as it had been. Without another option on the table, Max and Holly were going to have to fill the tanks and quickly. What could possibly go wrong?
