This is the journal of Johanna Montgomery of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, starting on January 1, 1888, and ending on August 20, 1889. Her journal was found in the attic of an old stone house on the outskirts of Johnstown, in an ancient horsehair trunk. The trunk was found way back in a corner behind a built-in kammerli (closet). This journal is not only about the Johnstown Flood that killed over 2,000 people and left over 27,000 homeless, it's a young girl's hopes, dreams, and romance, too. This is #1 in the Johanna's Journal Series. (160pp. illus. A.B. Pub., 2003.)
