Erin Bow studied particle physics in college and worked at the CERN laboratory in Switzerland before deciding to leave science and concentrate on her love of writing. Since that time, she has written two books of poetry, a memoir, and Plain Kate, her first novel. Erin Bow's poetry has won the CBC Canadian Literary Award. She lives in Kitchener, Ontario.
