What begins as a simple visit to her fathers friend, turns into a series of tragic entanglements that lead to pain and betrayal. Tony Dennison stops at the law office of Tim Wheaton for a quick visit where he meets Linda, Tims daughter and his secretary. The next day Tony returns to New York and his fiance. Shortly afterwards, Lindas fianc elopes with her best friend, and Linda flees to New York and works for Tony. The two build a friendship based on mutual respect and trust never realizing that those are the building blocks of a lifelong partnership . . .
