DCI Mick Rutter is shot and in the aftermath of the shooting, and during his convalescence, he loses all that he holds dear, his family and his job. Whilst trying to put his life back together he receives an offer to act as a security consultant for the Dubai World Cup Horseracing event at Meydan Racecourse. The much needed money makes his decision easy, after all how hard can it be protecting a 1km long multi-storey racecourse building and a priceless artefact?
