When Patrick Farland lands a singing gig at a popular theatre club owned by drag star Kenny LaFontaine, he and his friends are alarmed by the spiteful dynamics between the star and his choreographer, Ralph Murray. Despite turbulent rehearsal weeks, the show goes on and Patrick meets handsome Detective Ian Bannister at the opening night after party.

Kenny has set his eyes on the good looking detective who had previously answered a complaint from Kenny about a stalker. Now Kenny wants him to handle a blackmail threat and is angered by the apparent interest Ian and Patrick show in each other. Unaware that the two men have spent the night together, Kenny inveigles Patrick into taking the blackmail money to a predetermined spot in a supermarket where the police would be waiting. What happens next has Kenny wondering if involving the police, even one as handsome as Detective Ian Bannister, was a big mistake.

Kenny swears he has no idea who the blackmailer is or why he was being threatened, but Ian and his partner, Ernest, are convinced he is lying. Tension increases when Kenny discovers that Ian and Patrick are having an affair. Furious, he fires Patrick, but his vengeance is short-lived when he is charged with murdering the blackmailer.

Has the curtain come down of Kenny LaFontaine’s career once and for all, or will the man he fired find a way to clear his name?

**Sometimes Life's a Drag was previously published. It has been lightly re-edited but remains true to the original story. **Warning -- Some of the characters use profanity to express themselves, and make a habit of giving the truth a wide berth.
