After Frost, the Spring

Marianne Fleming travels to Spain with twelve year old Nick Barranco, who does not want to meet his new-found relations. In Spain, they are welcomed by an adoring grandfather and an handsomeuncle. Only Steve Morland hints at darker things. Through the Christmas festival tension mounts, coming to a terrible climax on the snow swept mountain road over Puerto del Escudo.
