Jessica Bull grew up in South East London, where she still lives with her husband, two daughters, and far too many pets. She's addicted to stories and studied English Literature at Bristol University, and Information Science at City University, London.
She began work as a librarian (under the false impression she could sit and read all day), before becoming a communications consultant. Miss Austen Investigates is her debut novel.

The Retirement Plan (2025)
Sue Hincenbergs
"Absolutely hilarious is the only way to describe Sue Hincenbergs' debut, The Retirement Plan, with a cast of charming but deeply flawed characters I couldn't help rooting for!"

Miss Burnham and the Loose Thread (2025)
Lynn Knight
"The House of Eliott meets Miss Marple in Lynn Knight's superb fiction debut. As well as being an exquisite mystery, Miss Burnham and the Loose Thread is an ode to the pioneering women who embraced new opportunities in the aftermath of The Great War. I loved it!"

The Woman in the Wallpaper (2025)
Lora Jones
"Spellbinding, chilling and utterly mesmerising. A twisty portrayal of sisterly devotion and a moving exploration of generational trauma set during the turmoil of the French Revolution. This stunning debut is not to be missed."
