Jessica Bull grew up in South East London, where she still lives with her husband, two daughters, and far too many pets. She's addicted to stories and studied English Literature at Bristol University, and Information Science at City University, London.
She began work as a librarian (under the false impression she could sit and read all day), before becoming a communications consultant. Miss Austen Investigates is her debut novel.

The Queen of Fives (2025)
Alex Hay
"Rich in delicious detail and enticing prose, while terrifically fast-paced, Alex Hay's The Queen of Fives has stolen my heart! All the stars to this brilliant follow-up to The Housekeepers. Put simply, I am in awe of Alex's talent."
Death on Ice (2024)
(Blanchard Twins, book 1)
R O Thorp
"Clever, quirky and irresistibly fun, I adored my killer cruise with R O Thorp's Blanchard twins in Death on Ice. But I swear I'm never ever getting into a two-person submarine, it sounds even more terrifying than a trip to the arctic with a boatload of murder suspects!"
The Trouble With Mrs Montgomery Hurst (2024)
Katie Lumsden
"Warm and witty, with a wonderful cast of quirky characters whose company I found irresistible."
