The last thing he wanted was a visitor. All she wanted was to see his sharks.

Life hasn’t been easy for Sundral the salty Lord of Water and Summer. Something is wrong with this world, and the elemental fae lord has been gradually piecing together the myriad of curses and threats looming over his kingdom and his brothers’. After a recent attack and several strange occurrences, he is determined to get to the bottom of all this and save his family despite their differences.

But now there’s a human woman missing one leg and brimming with confidence who is determined to learn whether sharks like his can be trained for mysterious rescue missions. While the high fae lord intimidates her, she won’t let little things like surliness, magic, curses, or teeth get in the way of her quest.

Besides, she knows how to bribe the fae. She brought lots of fresh cream and sugar cubes. (Why is he already so annoyed? Fine. Maybe when she saw he wasn’t eight inches tall she should have assumed this method of bribery wouldn’t work either.)

And maybe he is a little charmed by how insistent she is. Insane woman who shows up intent on researching sharks and cures without knowing the first thing about navigating fae lands or shark handling or water magic.

Perfect for fans of antagonists to lovers, forced proximity, sharks, grumpy and sunshine, magic duels, and found family.
