Joan Brady is an award-winning Irish journalist and broadcast producer. She started her career as a features writer and newspaper columnist for the Irish Independent and Evening Herald. She later worked as a researcher and producer for RTE radio, where she worked on current affairs and lifestyle programmes, including the Gay Byrne Show, Today with Pat Kenny, Liveline, Drivetime and the Late Debate.
In between her real jobs, she's worked as a waitress, an agony aunt, a bartender, and in various other positions that she now draws on for inspiration in her writing.
Joan lives in Portmarnock, Dublin, where she works as a freelance writer.
