This collection of poems - the poet's fifth - deals with issues of childhood, betrayal and domestic and sexual violence. Burnside was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize and won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize and the "Cosmopolitan" Poetry Prize in 1994.
