Three scientists are about to complete a secret experiment to disprove God when two of them die and the third, a psychiatrist with a dark past, is accused of murder.
Alan Smith wasn't always a renowned psychiatrist with a posh office overlooking Central Park. He once did something terrible that forced him to hide, change his name, and cut ties with his beloved mother, whom he still misses dearly.
But tonight, when the paramedics bring out two black body bags from the Mongtomerys’ house on fire, Alan realizes with horror that history is repeating itself: his stupid mistake might have cost his two colleagues their lives. And worse, Alan knows that the police will quickly discover that he had a strong motive for killing Lisa Montgomery...
