UK flag

Kate grew up in the wild and beautiful Devon countryside. After studying at Durham University and the Courtauld Institute of Art, she worked as an international art consultant. She is married to a pilot, and lives with her family in the Middle East. Her debut novel 'The Beauty Chorus' was inspired by the many hours she spent on airfields in the UK, and the experiences of pilots in her family during WW2. Her second novel about the Spanish Civil War, 'The Perfume Garden', draws upon the years she lived in Spain, and will be published in June 2012 by Atlantic.

The Search Party (2024)
Hannah Richell
"Living the dream becomes a living nightmare. Richell's tense new destination thriller will make you wish you weren't here as friendships crumble and families fall apart on a glamping weekend gone wrong. A gripping and twisty plot laced with Richell's trademark deft feel for family dynamics sees the pages practically turn themselves."

The Crimson Thread (2022)
Kate Forsyth
"Kate Forsyth's new novel, The Crimson Thread, weaves myth and history in a dazzling tapestry of love, courage, and war. Set on Crete during WWII with the Palace of Knossos at its heart, Forsyth conjures a labyrinthine tale to rival Ariadne's. Alenka, a young woman in the Cretan resistance, bravely faces not only the occupying forces but a monstrous half brother and two rival lovers. The tale deftly ties real history and cameos from people like Patrick Leigh Fermor seamlessly into the lives of the fictional characters. Lose yourself in this war story where love is the light which guides you home."
