Erik Varangr is the quartermaster on the Bartered Soul, a pirate vessel newly captained by his friend, William Lennox. When the two find a priestess hiding before they set sail, Erik discovers she is more than just another woman seeking escape from the harsh new regime that’s taken over Selennia.
Siobhan is a priestess on the run from captivity in one of King Dargan Blackwell’s army camps. When two brutal pirates save her from being re-captured, she’s too weak to flee again. Little does she know that she will have more in common with the tall Northman who nurses her back to health than she ever expected.
On the voyage to Delosia, Erik and Siobhan will be forced to ask the question of what their future holds, and what they must give up to find balance for both their hearts and their happiness.
