Grave Doubts

Lee Vanderhaven's assistant died of an apparent overdose of insulin, but Lee doesn't believe it. She embarks on a dangerous journey through the timber country of Oregon to find the truth, all the while accompanied by a strange onyx bird that once belonged to the deceased and seems to take on a life of its own.
