Ailuranth: Chapter 11

Chapter 11 of 12, about a street urchin in Edwardian London, an apothecary's clerk who fancies himself a great inventor and his German counterpart, a lady with too much time on her hands and a deep commitment to preventing what would seem an inevitable war, and a Shelta circus performer crippled in the ring and hoping for a cure. Oh, and the little girl has an uncanny ability to transform into a small ginger cat, which some of the aforementioned characters think might be helpful in the peace movement.
