Born in Dallas, Texas, and raised on a wheat farm in Kansas, Matt Bronleewe was a founding member while in college of groundbreaking musical group, Jars of Clay, whose success has taken them to the heights of the music industry with numerous awards and multi-platinum CD sales. Launching out from the band on his own as a record producer and successful songwriter, Bronleewe has since been responsible for a combined total of more than 20 million units sold worldwide-working as both songwriter and producer for major music artists such as international pop singer, Natalie Imbrulgia, Disney sensations Aly & AJ, Kimberly Locke of American Idol and many more, He is a multiple Dove Awards winner for his work with artists such as Plumb, Tait, Rebecca St. James, Rush of Fools, and Michael W. Smith-the latter with whom he co-wrote and produced "Healing Rain" which sold over 500,000 units.
