In the land of Veldara, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a crimson hue across the sky, as though the very heavens wept for a lost era. The bustle of the market square faded, and the whispers of a weary populace filled the air, choking on the ashes of forgotten dreams. Magic, once the vibrant heartbeat of Veldara, had been ruthlessly extinguished. Enchanters were hunted like wild animals, their powers feared and reviled.

Amid these darkened streets, a young woman named Elara navigated the twilight shadows. Her raven hair fluttered in the evening breeze, but it was her emerald eyes, filled with uncertainty and a lingering spark of something else, that set her apart. She was aware she was different, but memories of her powers lay buried deep within her, locked away behind a veil of doubt and confusion.

On that fateful evening, as Elara ducked into a narrow alleyway, she could hear the guards’ heavy boots pounding the cobblestone streets nearby. They were on the hunt again. For Elara had become a whisper among the townsfolk—an enchanter, the last of her kind, though she herself remained oblivious to the full extent of her abilities. Her feet pulsed as if guided by an unseen force, leading her deeper into the labyrinth of alleyways, dodging guards and scornful glances.
