RV traveler and amateur sleuth, Tulia Blake, loves visiting cities, but after several of them in a row, she’s looking forward to getting back to nature, and a music festival held in an Iowa cornfield seems to offer the perfect opportunity.
There’s handy on-site camping – though unfortunately, no RV hookups – and a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales are going to an animal shelter that will have adoptable animals on-site. Tulia is looking forward to meeting both human and furry friends and just taking a bit of time to kick back, relax, and immerse herself in the slower pace and comfortable surroundings.
Shenanigans ensue, crushing the laid-back vibe, when the adoptable animals are mysteriously set free and charge out into the crowded festival. Tulia and Olivia join in on wrangling the cute critters, but when they’re returning puppies to their proper places, they discover that the animals’ caretaker has died under suspicious circumstances.
The founders of the festival try to make it seem as if the incident was merely an accident, but Tulia isn’t so sure. Determined to get to the truth, she investigates.
