It’s early December and everyone in Granite, Michigan is beginning to get into the holiday spirit, but an early morning call from Sheriff Larson puts a damper in dog trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve’s, mood. They need her to bring Atlas’ to recover a body that was buried somewhere along the Lake Superior coast before it’s washed away by impending winter storms.
It's one of their most dangerous searches yet, but they’re successful. The deceased young man turns out to be the brother of one of the employees at the tea shop Eve frequents. He’s an out-of-towner who was only in Granite for a brief visit.
Eve is determined to find out who killed him and why, and faces death threats, lies, and secrets in her quest to uncover the truth.
