The Foundling

After an abortive kidnap attempt, five-year-old Joy Briggs is abandoned in a canal tunnel. Her wealthy parents believe she has drowned, but Joy is found and brought up by a loving family of canal folk. As Joy reaches womanhood, it becomes clear that her past cannot let her live in peace.
