Rachael grew up in Durham and studied Literature at Warwick University. After spending some time exploring South America and Asia, she finished a PGCE and an MA at Durham University. She moved to London and worked as an English teacher in a boys’ comprehensive in Holland Park. She now lives with her husband and two children in St Albans.
