Ray Buckland started drawing cartoons at a very early age, copying most of the early Walt Disney cartoon characters (favoring Donald Duck). He quickly progressed to creating his own characters. Over the years he has done commercial art; everything from designing business cards and letterheads to doing full page ads for such publications as Hollywood's "Variety". In England, he illustrated educational filmstrips, books (including 365 illustrations in a schools' science encyclopedia), and illustrated many of his own books (he is the author of over fifty titles; fiction and non-fiction). Ray has a great sense of humor and it shows brilliantly in his cartoons.
