My mama always told me to avoid professional athletes, but did I listen? No. That’s how I wound up being dumped right before Christmas. And for a puck bunny no less. Faced with the prospect of being alone for the holidays, I decide to escape to the mountains for a little ‘me time’.
There’s just one problem. I’m not exactly cut out for country living. The cabin I’ve rented has a fireplace for heat and even though I looked up how to build a fire, it turns out that if you don’t open the flue the whole place gets smoky. Oops. And then there’s the big snowstorm that keeps me from getting back to town to buy groceries.
I wind up going to a nearby home to borrow some food. Turns out that it’s the vacation home for two giant hockey players with the Hopeton Howlers, Brandon and Raymond. I’m immediately attracted to them. Both of them. The two best friends are hot and sweet and seem to want to take care of me. When they invite me to stay with them for the holiday, of course I say yes. Even though they’re hockey players, I figure I can have a little fun with them, as long as my heart doesn’t get involved.
