Trixie Tatlock packs up her London flat and moves to the South in hopes of finding her biological father. After several leads fail to produce the desired end result, Trixie buys a home in the Old South with big goals and dreams—all of which are steeped in selling her visitors a nice cup of tea, perhaps a book or two, and maybe even an exquisite piece of history.
After word gets out that Trixie is trying to find family members from her past, an imposter approaches with quite a story. Soon, Trixie is building a relationship with someone who wants to destroy her plans for the future. And when she discovers his ulterior motives and goes to confront him, nothing can prepare her for what she finds.
To make matters worse, Trixie is the only witness and suspect. And the town’s most prominent residents believe the newcomer is the lone person with something to hide.
