Shannon Bowring

Shannon Bowring’s work has appeared in numerous journals and has been nominated for Pushcart and Best of the Net prizes. She has been recognized on such short- and long-lists as the Maine Literary Awards and the Writer’s Digest Short Story Competition. Her debut novel, The Road to Dalton, was included in the June 2023 Indie Next List and chosen as one of NPR’s Books We Love in 2023. The sequel to Dalton is, WHERE THE FOREST MEETS THE RIVER.

 Shannon earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Stonecoast at the University of Maine. Raised in Northern Maine, she now resides in the mid-coast region of the state, where she works at her local library.
